An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and motivated students to join the Catering, Bars and Retail Team at Falmouth Exeter Plus as aCasual Catering, Bar or Retail Assistant. Based in any of our outlets on either the Penryn or Falmouth Campus, the successful candidates will share our passion for great food and drink, will be a highly valued and crucial part of the team, preparing fresh food and drinks whilst maintaining a fun and exciting environment for all our customers.

This role is extremely customer focused and staff will strive to be professional, charismatic, dedicated, trusted and approachable in every aspect of their work. You will have excellent knowledge of our products and be able to make recommendations to customers so that have a great experience when attending any of our outlets.

Full training and induction will be provided before the successful candidates start work.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a catering, retail or bar unit. As well as excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks or food preparation and plating food, you will have a customer focused mind-set and strive to deliver and exceed students, staff and visitors’ expectations. You will have a flexible approach to hours and work and be adaptable to work at events and across different sites.

We are looking for candidates who also have the following skills/experience:
  • Consistency and ability to create great food and drinks always.
  • To be able to maintain consistently exceptional levels of cleanliness and ability to keep the counters organised and stocked
  • Ability to follow Health and Safety, Food Safety and Alcohol laws and regulations
  • A great sense of humour
  • An honest, dedicated and hardworking approach
These positions are offered on a casual hourly paid basis. The working hours will be based on the business needs and your university studies.
