Our client, one of the UK’s leading Care Home groups, are now looking for Carers to join the team. You will work responsibly to provide care for the residents under the guidance and supervision of the Care Manager, trained nursing staff and senior care assistants. To work co-operatively and communicate effectively to undertake other activities that assist in the running of the home. You will treat all people fairly, uphold their dignity and protect the privacy of residents in the home. Key responsibilities;
  • Support all residents to lead as full a life as possible, using individual care plans to provide person centred care.
  • Assist residents in all aspects of their care needs (e.g. physical, emotional etc.,), whilst ensuring they retain their comfort and dignity.
  • Identify relevant activities for engagement and balance the right level of support needs with independence.
  • Assist with the admission of new residents in a way that puts the new resident at the heart of the service and complies with all procedures.
  • Respect resident’s right to confidentiality and protect and uphold their privacy and dignity.
  • Be vigilant and accurately report immediately all physical and/or emotional changes in residents.
  • Support the Care Manager and team to promote the home and deliver excellent care, service, safety and profitability. To be successful in this role you will need to be registered with the relevant bodies and be able to demonstrate a willingness to work towards relevant qualifications, or already be working towards them. You will also show a willingness to participate in continuous improvement and vocational training programmes and have an understanding of the Health and Social Care Act 2008. We have contracts for 12, 24, 36 or 44 hours and we have both day and night shifts available.
