Job Title: CAD DesignerLocation:WinchesterPay Rate: 25/30 per hour dependent on experience.Reporting to: Product Development ManagerImmediate Temp to PermAspion Recruitment is currently seeking a highly skilled CAD Designer to join our dynamic team. The CAD Designer will play a crucial role in the product development process and will be responsible for creating detailed designs and technical drawings using Autodesk Inventor software. The successful candidate will work closely with the Product Development Manager to bring innovative products to life.Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Product Development Manager to understand project requirements, design specifications, and objectives.
- Utilise Autodesk Inventor software to create 2D and 3D models, assemblies, and technical drawings for new and existing products.
- Ensure accuracy and adherence to design standards and specifications.
- Conduct design reviews and provide recommendations for improvements or modifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to address design-related issues and provide technical support.
- Generate bills of materials (BOMs) and assist with cost estimation for production.
- Maintain documentation of design changes, revisions, and updates.
- Stay updated with industry trends, advancements in CAD technology, and manufacturing processes.
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a CAD Designer, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor software is essential.
- Strong knowledge of 2D and 3D design principles and practices.
- Experience in working with ERP/PDM to control BOM and CAD interfaces and ensure version control.
- Familiarity with product development processes and manufacturing methodologies.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to create accurate technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and software.
- Degree or certification in Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.
- Experience with other CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and industry standards.
