Head Of Warehouse Operation Support3PL Warehouse & Distribution SectorSkelmersdale, North West£60,000 – £70,000 (flexible Depending On Experience)We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Analyst and Solution Design Manager to lead our team in optimizing warehouse operations through data-driven analysis and solution design. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing analytical processes, systems, tools, and reports to drive performance improvements in line with our business goals. Your focus will be on leveraging industry best practices and applying analytical methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and drive growth.The Candidate;
  • Proven track record in a senior management position, with a focus on warehouse operations and analytics.
  • Extensive experience within warehouse operations, supply chain logistics, or 3rd party logistics environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft MI packages and other analytical tools.
  • Expertise in Lean Six Sigma, Unipart Way, and other continuous improvement methodologies within a warehouse context.
  • Strong analytical skills, including solution design, network modeling, demand planning, and forecasting.
  • Change management experience and proficiency in applying analytical methodologies to drive process improvements.
  • Ability to create and analyze MI using MS packages to inform strategic plans and optimize warehouse operations.
  • CPC Transport Management certification (desirable).
  • Degree in supply chain, logistics, or a related field with a focus on warehouse management (desirable).
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (desirable).
Duties And Responsibilities
  • Lead the Warehouse Operations Analysis Team, providing clear direction and effective management to achieve operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute an operational strategy that aligns warehouse structure, systems, resources, and infrastructure with our evolving business requirements.
  • Drive a culture of operational excellence by embedding a “right first time” ethos within the warehouse function.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of a continuous improvement strategy across warehouse operations, empowering teams to identify and implement ongoing improvements based on data-driven insights.
  • Utilize analytical methodologies to identify opportunities for safety enhancements, engaging cross-functional teams to foster a safety-first culture.
  • Ensure the Warehouse Operations Analysis Team delivers services, quality, and cost performance in line with or surpassing customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop robust plans that deliver service, quality, and cost efficiency, incorporating risk analysis to identify appropriate contingencies.
  • Provide expert input in designing warehouse solutions, offering cost-to-serve information, responding to commercial opportunities, and managing tender timelines.
  • Lead project management efforts, overseeing the implementation of business information and systems enhancements within the warehouse function, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Undertake any additional tasks as reasonably required by the company.
