Purpose

Provide technical support in interpreting Shapefile information from the Client.
Supporting the Design team in producing plans and deliverables for Client.
Version Control and supporting the Stakeholder and Land Rights team in detailed Plans.
Producing Professional standard design plans to accurately quote financial costings and share with Civil subcontractor.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and graphical support within all areas of the HS2 Project.
• Assess and provide opportunities to improve our design output processes.
• Production and delivery of detailed design drafts for assessment and scrutiny by the Client and Internal Team.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained in all activities performed and version control is set up to establish baselines and support variation submissions.
• Ensure awareness of and comply with Company Health, Safety and Environmental requirements on issues as they arise.
• Work towards a zero-accident culture.
• Support the Project Team and work to deadlines.
• Ability to lead subject specific discussions with the Client.

Skills and Requirements

• Planning and Organising skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Working knowledge of Business IT systems
• Experience of working in industries with strict policies, procedures and working practices.
• Working knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation
• Developed negotiation, communication and people management skills.
• Developed Customer Service skills
• Experience of working with GIS/CAD related systems.
• Highly Numerate
• Experienced of maintaining and updating databases
• Experience of producing professional designs used for detailed construction and or engineering.

‘To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate as minimum’

• PC literate – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc
• Experience in using all GIS/CAD related design tools in Engineering or Construction.
• Relevant Technical Qualification in 3D & 2D CAD Design.
• Experience in constructing designs and producing professional Design plans.
• Educated to GCSE or equivalent standard
