We currently have an exciting opportunity to join a new team within National Buying at ALDI, focused on Value Chain Analysis to review the end-to-end supply chain and identify opportunities to unlock cost, improve efficiency and generate value for the business. The role will be to engage with key internal and external stakeholders to implement projects, working alongside a team of high performing individuals.

We are seeking an experienced professional who demonstrates a strong commercial and technical understanding of the value chain to support with engaging and influencing stakeholders across the business. In addition, the use of analytics will be key to identify and unlock opportunities to drive strategic sourcing initiatives. The successful candidate will be confident in presenting data and project proposals efficiently to maximise understanding, enhance decision making, driving a results-based culture.

Your New Role:

• Management of 2-3 Value Chain Optimisation projects per year

• Support the Project Director in achieving ambitious cost reduction targets

• Prepare and hold supplier workshops to identify collaborative cost saving initiatives

• Managing support team of 6 Business Analysts, driving change through data insights

About You:

• Degree or equivalent

• Motivated and driven leader with a record of developing high performing teams

• Demonstrated high levels of commercial acumen and understanding of project management principles

• Demonstrated experience in managing strategic stakeholder relationships and negotiations

• Able to display an analytical mind-set and a high degree of numerical aptitude

• Strong problem-solving capabilities with an ability to summarise qualitative and quantitative insights to inform key decisions

• Understand strategic sourcing levers and indicators of potential opportunities

• Understand commercial trade-offs across service, capacity, cost, and risk

• Experience managing simultaneous projects and deadlines, demonstrating excellent organisation skills

• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent visual design sense regarding clear and accurate presentation of data

• Salary starting from £55,915 rising to £81,415

• Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, with the opportunity of 2 days a week remote working.
