Due to an internal promotion, they are now looking to recruit an additional Buyer to enhance their team.
About the role
As the Buyer, your duties will include but not be limited to:

About the role
As the Buyer, your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Ensuring the supply chain is able to support production requirements
- Managing supplier relationships, identifying risks and assisting the purchasing manager in implementing processes for improvement
- Ensuring supplies are delivered on time, to achieve production targets
- Obtain and negotiate prices, placing purchase orders in line with business requirements, making sourcing decisions based on both cost, quality and lead time considerations
- Work within the day to day operational business needs, as well as project led procurement
- Source new products and suppliers in line with projects and NPD
- Find new ways to reduce costs across the assigned categories
- Resolve supply issues, implementing improvement plans and developing alternatives if necessary
- Optimise the inventory, ensuring the business is operating efficiently and effectively
- Ensuring PO’s and invoices are issued correctly and all data is recorded accurately
To be successful in the role, you will have the following attributes:
- Previous experience within purchasing, preferably within a manufacturing, engineering or construction industry
- Proven track record of cost saving and process improvement
- Good negotiation skills
- Extremely well organised, adaptable and experienced working in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience of using MRP systems and strong MS Office applications experience
- Annual Bonus
