Let’s talk about the Business Operations team ️

The Business Operations team’s vision is to help Stuart achieve it’s goals through analysing, optimising and automating our operations. We work with data every day to bring insights to frontline operational teams and work with them to define operational KPIs. We make sure data is always available and clearly understood so that Stuart can make the right decisions. We’re passionate about understanding root causes, exploring new tools and techniques and acting as thought-partners to our stakeholders.

From finding the right definition of success for our clients, to understanding the drivers behind courier preferences and reducing manual steps in our every-day processes, we ensure operational teams are well equipped to rapidly make the right decisions to support our goals in an ever-changing landscape. You will use your data fluency, analytical skills and business acumen to help take Stuart to the next level.

We’re looking for a dynamic and proactive Business Analyst to join our fast-growing UK Business Operations team led by Charles Bridge, specifically within the Automation team. No two consecutive days at Stuart are alike, but generally our mission is to drive optimisation and empower data-driven decision making at Stuart through actionable insights. What will I be doing?

    • Design and build tools to improve operational efficiency and ensure smooth execution
    • Capture the needs of the business across multiple operational processes with robust and scalable scripts
    • Own and maintain automation processes to support the business such as data pipeline processes or internal web applications
    • Share in the development cycle as part of the automation team

What do we need from you?

    • Academic background in Science, Mathematics, Engineering or similar
    • Excellent research, analytical and quantitative skills with a coding proficiency in Python
    • Strong interest in learning and applying state-of-the-art coding techniques and tools
    • Experience using SQL, Git and Excel is a plus
    • Having a meticulous and data-driven approach to tackling problems
    • Ability to rapidly identify opportunities for improvement and provide creative solutionsHighly energetic, self-motivated and results-oriented person
    • Proactive: you’re about doing whatever it takes to get the job done, even if it means making mistakes along the way
    • Fluent English speaker
