A global management consultancy has a vacancy for an experienced business development professional to join its Birmingham office in a role focused on leading business development and marketing activities. The firm’s Birmingham based team are at the heart of the most complex and interesting programmes taking place in the region, shaping the infrastructure and real estate investment that supports the regional and local economy. The role holder will enjoy a dynamic role, with lots of variety and opportunity to shape the direction of business generation. This will be a hands-on role but requires the right candidate to have the ability to see the bigger picture and lead strategically. You will work closely with the Birmingham senior leadership team, Advisory business and the business generation team to drive successful market engagement and win new business. The Business Generation Manager will support on the running of the Birmingham key client programme, including positioning for key bids and framework renewals, targeting new clients and helping to retain our existing clients. You will be required to develop brand and communication activity that can be shared with the wider business and driven into the local market to engage with the local marketplace, drive pipeline generation and support the firm’s advisory practice on their go-to-market strategy. The successful applicant will need to work hand in hand with the firm’s Senior Campaign Manager and the other regional Business Generation Managers to ensure activity is aligned to the firm’s UK vision and the wider Business Generation community. The ideal candidate will be a bright graduate or equivalent who is passionate about and focused on doing the right things to support business success. A proactive BD specialist, with relevant professional services experience and a sound knowledge of the UK real estate and infrastructure markets, you will enjoy working at pace, both as a leader and a team member, to support a fast-moving business with dynamic opportunities. The Business Generation Manager must be able to communicate credibly and effectively at all levels of the business, setting high standards and ensuring continuous improvement and delivery excellence.
