Business Development Officer, Arts, London, 4-month temp role, £14.40 p/h plus holiday pay
Our client a world-renowned arts organisation based in Central London requires a Business Development Officer to start 1 September.
Main duties of this Business Development Officer role are:
- Prospecting and research
- Conduct initial outreach to identify partnership prospects and respond to inbound enquiries
- Update and maintain the database
- Conduct detailed research into potential corporate partners
- Lead the annual corporate due diligence report
- Work with key colleagues across the organisation to gather ideas and information for new and innovative new partnership opportunities
- Attending planning meetings to represent the interests of current and prospective corporate partners
- Support the Development Manager in the development of new business strategy to secure funding
- Assist in creating compelling proposals
- Attend new business meetings
Skills and experience
- Relevant experience of prospect research gained within a fundraising, marketing, or sales environment
- Strong communication and presentations skills, both written and verbal
- Experience of using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database
- Demonstrable ability to analyse and research information
- Experience of collating and presenting information for proposals and pitches
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with a range of colleagues and build relationships at all levels
- High degree of computer literacy, especially knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and internet applications
- Highly organised and motivated with good attention to detail
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills and ability to manage competing demands to deliver work to deadline
- Ability to work both on own initiative proactively and as part of a team
- A creative thinker with a collaborative approach to finding solutions
- An interest in the Arts
