The Business Apprentice reports directly to the HR Manager and will have the opportunity to work within all areas of the business through a structed work plan as part of the Business Apprentice program.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the appropriate Head of Department with diary management setting up and scheduling appointments, organizing the preparation of reports and agendas for meetings, transcribing notes and helping with setting up PowerPoint presentations and any required emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals.
  • Provide administrative support for internal and external meetings i.e. collation and sending agenda and documents pre-meeting. Minute taking and including the recording of meeting actions.
  • To use multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to: write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyze data.
  • To assist in the production of accurate monthly reports and documents including sending out email reminders and following up non-compliance
  • Undertaking projects as required by business.
  • Liaising with internal departments for all administration requirements
  • General office admin duties including reception desk activity, Stationary / supplies control
  • To meet all learning commitments of the apprenticeship as directed by the line manager and/or the Apprenticeships Manager.
  • Any other duties as directed by the HR Manager as appropriate to level of experience

Education and/or Experience:

Essential:

  • Educated to GCSE level

  • Ability to organize multiple priorities and manage workloads effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with all departments within the business.
  • Critical attention to detail
  • Maintains calm and focus under pressurized situations
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and actively encourage team member buy in.
  • Actively inspire and encourage his/her team during all situations.
  • Willingness to undertake any training necessary to support the role
  • Awareness of ‘bigger picture’ effects of actions and decisions
