How you’ll make a difference
As a Business and Administration Support Officer you will make a difference by providing a fully comprehensive and confidential Business and Administration service to allocated Service Managers in our Integrated Children’s Service.
- You will provide advice to customers, contacts, external organisations and colleagues ensuring that they receive appropriate guidance about policies, procedures.
- Day to day you will carry out research; collate data and present information within your area of service specialism. This may include drafting documentation and clear, accessible findings, managing diaries and making appointments as necessary.
- You will provide support to our Personal Assistants to cover during busy periods and for annual leave.
- You will be responsible for co-ordinating responses to queries, MP enquiries, complaints and requests from initial contact with the customer all within the allocated time frame. For those issues that you are not able to resolve are promptly relayed to more senior members and the customer is informed accordingly.
- You will provide a wide and varied range of administrative tasks to assigned projects ensuring written reports are compiled, support is provided, and records are accurate which will help to inform decision making.
What we need from you
- You will hold a minimum qualification of 3 grade C’s at GCSE including English and Maths or you will hold equivalent relevant experience within a similar role in administration.
- You will be able to communicate effectively to service users, professionals and partnership agencies using a variety of media.
- You can demonstrate IT knowledge and its practical application, including experience of using Microsoft Office.
- It is essential you have experience in using databases, including running standard reports, analysing data and presenting findings.
- You must have experience of basic financial procedures e.g. petty cash, invoicing etc.
