About the Role
1

Warwick Business School is looking for a talented Brand & Communications Manager to join its fast-paced and target-driven Communications and Marketing team.

It’s an exciting and broad remit with varied responsibilities and the opportunity to get creative.

As the brand manager you will help to define brand strategy that aligns with our goals and values, and deliver campaigns that continue to grow our global reputation and build engagement. As brand guardian you’ll ensure our visual and verbal identity guidelines are upheld and remain relevant.

As a communications professional you will lead on all things brand and comms with internal and external stakeholders, in support of our ambitious 2030 strategy.

You will lead the Brand & Comms team of communications officers and in-house designers, ensuring projects are planned, managed, tracked and delivered on time and within budget.

You will also join the Crisis Communications team, advising on best practice and creating and disseminating communications in the event of a serious incident or crisis situation.

You’ll be working alongside fantastic colleagues who are experts in their various fields including Digital Marketing (website, film, social), Press and PR, and Programme Marketing. Across the Section we work together with Recruitment & Business Development colleagues to grow the WBS reputation and to meet our ambitious student recruitment targets.

About You
1

A passionate brand and communications professional, you’ll bring significant experience of working in a complex and large organisation.

You will be an excellent and creative communicator with the ability to negotiate, influence and build strong working relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

You and your immediate team will be an important conduit for both internal and external stakeholders - delivering solutions to their brand and communications needs either directly or with the support of colleagues across the wider Section - so the ability to build effective relationships and understand the business and priorities of the School will be key.

The role also requires working collaboratively with external creative agencies and suppliers and proven success here is essential.

You will possess a can-do attitude to getting work done, the ability to multi-task, prioritise and time plan effectively, and the intuitive understanding of what it takes to deliver a wide-ranging programme of brand and comms activity.

Strong organisational skills, including the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and the resilience to juggle a large and varied workload is essential. The ability to write well and persuasively, with accuracy and attention to detail, and, most importantly to think creatively is also essential.
