Are you an experienced Bookkeeper looking for a new opportunity in Congleton?Kenton Black is currently seeking a talented Bookkeeper to join a reputable accountancy practice in Congleton.If you have a passion for numbers, excellent attention to detail, and a desire to work in a collaborative team environment, then this position might be the perfect fit for you!Salary And BenefitsThe salary for this position will be between 20,000 and 27,000 dependent on experience. Part-time applicants are encouraged to apply, the salary would be pro-rated in line with your working hours. Those with exceptional experience would receive a higher salary package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recording and maintaining accurate financial records, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
  • Reconciling bank statements and ensuring discrepancies are resolved.
  • Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Processing payroll and maintaining employee records.
  • Conducting regular bookkeeping tasks, such as data entry and updating financial spreadsheets.
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Collaborating with other team members and providing support as needed.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role within either an industry or practice capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset.
