The principal duties and responsibilities will be to participate in the routine workload of a section of the department on a rotational basis, participating in the analysis of histological specimens. The candidate may be expected to participate in the voluntary out of hours service, if required. To participate in the daily workload of the specialised techniques laboratory, including immunocytochemistry and molecular To occasionally participate in research/ clinical To assist pathologists in the dissection of surgical and post-mortem specimens Clinical To assist in the assessment and selection of appropriate tests for a variety of conditions To assist with specimen dissections and allocate testing procedures accordingly Laboratory Informatics To comply with local and national policies for the safe, secure and confidential processing, and storage of patient and other laboratory information.
