We are looking for a Housekeeper to join our friendly Facilities team at Stroud General Hospital who are passionate about ensuring our high standards are achieved.

You will be joining a team who is committed to providing a clean, safe and supportive environment in which patients can recuperate.

You will receive full training so that you will competently maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and help provide an excellent food service. Gloucestershire Health & Care NHS Trust is looking for a friendly, conscientious and motivated individual to join the Facilities Team.

The purpose of the role is to provide a cleaning and catering service within our Community Hospital.

The service we provide operates shifts across all of the seven days a week. The successful candidate will be working throughout the hospital in non-patient and inpatient areas. We are looking for a person who can work as part of the team to maintain the high standards of cleanliness and to prepare safe and consistently high standards of food and beverages for patients in our care.

This patient facing role requires candidates to have good communication skills. The successful candidate will require the ability to follow instructions and procedures via written, verbal and computer-based methods of communication and preferably have previous experience in a similar role or environment.

A flexible approach towards the work will be required to meet the changing priorities of the workload, duties and department.

This post requires the post holder to be able to undertake all statutory and mandatory training and post holders must be able to undertake physical interventions. Fitness for physical intervention will be assessed by Occupational Health.
