Due to exciting internal promotions and a restructure of the OT department we are seeking Band 5 OTs to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team. The department and the hospital as a whole are going through changes to offer innovative patient care to the local population, and we need a team to put these ideas and practice.

These rotational posts are based at Princess Royal University Hospital and Orpington Hospital where the Occupational Therapy Service is valued highly.

King’s College Hospital has a large Therapy department with 250+ therapists from Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech and Language Therapy. Each service is organised under a Head of Profession with a Director of Therapies heading up the service and representing Therapies across the Trust. The department has a well-established tradition of supervision and appraisal which ensures all staff are given opportunities to develop skills and knowledge and to reach their full potential.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated HCPC registered Occupational Therapist to join our comprehensive rotational scheme. The rotation posts are 6 months in duration and offer the opportunity to increase clinical skills and knowledge in a wide variety of clinical areas across many physical health specialities.

  • Medicine for Elderly
  • Cardiology / Coronary Care Unit
  • General Medicine
  • Trauma & Orthopaedics
  • General Surgery
  • Elective Surgery / Surgical Assessment Unit
  • Elective Orthopaedics
  • Stroke
  • Neuro Rehabilitation.
There is a strong commitment towards continuous professional development, new in-service training programmes, team journal clubs as well as access to supervision from experienced Occupational Therapists.

The post holder requires a flexible approach to working and to undertake weekend working commitments as required.
