The position

The purpose of the job is to provide support concerning health, safety, quality and environmental (HSQE) matters to all RES business units based in UK and Ireland.

Reporting to the Head of HSQE UK&I, you will manage the ongoing development, implementation, maintenance, of the RES UK&I Business Management System.

Manage the development and maintenance of ISO9000 Quality Management Systems, ISO 45000 Occupational Health and Safety and ISO 14000 Environment Management System.

Coordinate The Audit Plan For The RES UK&I
  • Manage External HSQE Audits
  • Plan and Undertake Internal Audits
Accountabilities
  • Support the Head of HSQE UK&I to ensure that the HSQE performance of RES reflects good industry practice and complies with relevant legislation, guidance, and company policies.
  • Coordinate a Quality Management forum
  • Work with those responsible for procedures and process
  • Manage the Health Safety and Environment legal register.
  • Maintain Environment Aspects and Impacts Register
  • Support HSE and Quality Goals
  • Manage the development of the Business Management systems to ensure that it supports continuous improvement, promotes behaviour and provides a commercial advantage for all UK-based RES departments
  • Review and comment on business documentation e.g. procedures, policies, and process
  • Analysis data trends identified through, audit and present finding and recommendations to departments.
  • Undertake investigation as directed by the Head of HSQE
  • Prepare workshop/ briefing materials
  • Undertake and facilitate workshops to communicate Assurance matters, prepare written feedback on workshop outcomes to value streams
  • Prepare regular reports for the Head of HSQE UK&I
  • Be a passionate example to all and champion of excellent HSQE culture and behaviours
  • Challenge poor culture and behaviours at any level and support others to do the same
Knowledge
  • An understanding of behavioural safety programmes.
  • Knowledge of UK&I Health Safety and Environment Legislation.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9000, Quality Management Systems, ISO 45000, Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, ISO 14000 Environment Management Systems, ISO 55000, Asset Management
Skills
  • Clear written skills - present written information in a structured and balanced way appropriate to the needs of the reader.
  • Use basic business software - Microsoft Office, Visio use of SharePoint or similar.
  • Relate to staff at all levels within the business
  • Understand standards from external sources, e.g. Health and Safety Executive, Scottish Environment Agency, Environment Agency, Northern Ireland Environment Agency, British Standards Institute and other international standards
  • Organise and facilitate workshops and engagement events with staff, contractors, and clients on Assurance matters
Experience
  • Work with Directors
  • Experience in Quality Management and developing management systems
  • Experience of construction or manufacturing industry will be considered
  • Undertake internal and supplier audits
  • Experience implementing and developing Quality, Health and Safety and Environment management systems
  • Support and develop HSQE knowledge of motivating site and office-based teams
  • Knowledge of SharePoint
Qualifications
  • Minimum requirement Member of the Chartered Quality Institute, working towards membership or equivalent
  • Quality Audit training, e.g. UKAS approved or equivalent.
