Job Summary: The Assistant Site Manager will support the Site Manager in overseeing construction projects from start to finish, ensuring that they are completed safely, within budget, and on time. The Assistant Site Manager will be responsible for managing a team of workers, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, and communicating with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Site Manager in planning and scheduling construction activities
  • Manage and oversee construction workers, ensuring that they adhere to safety regulations and project specifications
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure that it is completed within the agreed upon timeline
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
  • Communicate with clients and stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met and expectations are managed
  • Participate in site meetings and provide progress reports to the Site Manager and other stakeholders
  • Ensure that all work complies with relevant building codes and regulations
  • Assist in managing the project budget and ensuring that it is not exceeded
  • Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure that it is up to date and easily accessible
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and collaborative work environment
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field
  • Previous experience in construction management or a related field
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
