Assistant Security Manager

Permanent, 37 hours per week

An exciting position has become available for a full-time Assistant Security Manager based at The University of Huddersfield. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated security professional to join our award-winning Estates and Facilities team. You’ll have extensive knowledge of security services and proven management and leadership experience within the security industry, the public sector or police/armed services.

The role is to ensure provision and continuity of security services, providing a welcoming, safe and secure environment for all staff, students and visitors. You will also work closely with colleagues from many other departments to provide the most up to date advice, information and support; therefore, excellent communication, influencing, negotiating and engagement skills will be essential.

The role requires flexibility, tenacity and a desire for delivering high levels of positive customer service.

With proven experience working in a similar environment and experience of being able to work with and, where required supervise, a diverse workload and people, you will demonstrate the ability to work under pressure whilst having the ability to use your own initiative without supervision.

You must be educated to the minimum level or equivalent stated, though a degree and/or management qualification in a relevant discipline would be an advantage.
