Assistant Director National Data Management Centre (NDMC)

Salary Scale: £74,352 - £79,368


The successful candidate will strategically lead and manage the National Data Management Centre based in Wales and London as part of the National Counter Terrorism Police Operations Centre (NCTPOC) London. Setting the strategic direction, perspective and supporting the entire CT policing architecture through the management of national intelligence related data. Supporting the provision of timely and accurate intelligence for the CT network, in order to increase operational effectiveness and efficiency of CT decision making and activities working on a national system in a single network.

The role is based in Bridgend but will also involve travel (including overnight commitments) around the UK due to the commitments associated with the National Counter Terrorism Network. Please note this post will be based in Bridgend and does not attracted accommodation.

The successful applicant must be DV (Developed Vetting) vetted or willing to undergo and achieve DV vetting.

The post will also require the successful completion of an additional security induction process, part of which requires pre-screening checks of nationality and foreign connections. It must be stressed that this is in addition to Developed Vetting. Candidates must achieve both clearances to take up this post.

This post is not suitable for job share/part time workers.

The successful Candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to MV/SC Vetting.

Please be aware that if your current post is within the Public Service Centre, if you were employed after 1st February 2017 you must have completed 2 years’ tenured service before applying for any other roles.

If you are currently involved in a PSD Investigation then you will not be eligible to apply for this role.

A member of staff who has obtained a temporary or fixed term post within the Force on an open competitive basis following internal and external advertising and has been selected through a proper selection process, will have the right to be made substantive in that post should the post become permanent (which must be the same process as that used for a permanent post).
