Are you an experienced Assistant Accountant who is looking for a long term contract ?

Reed Accountancy are delighted to be working with an established business within Gateshead who are looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant on a 12 month fixed term contract.

This role is highly varied and would suit someone who is able to to assist with the finance manager with forecasting , month end , analysis and variances duties aswell as being able to oversee the accounts payable function.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm (office working)

Job Duties include:

• Preparation of monthly reporting to an accurate and high standard providing analysis and commentary on variances.

• Liaise with budget holders to manage an accurate budget/forecast position.

• Assist the Manager with budget preparation.

• Assist the Manager with forecasts.

• Prepare journals for monthly allocation of income and expenditure.

• Overseeing the accounts payable function at the centre ensuring the raising of orders, goods receipting, and query resolution are actioned in a timely manner.

• Produce evidence for internal audits when required.

• Prepare accurate billing, monthly and quarterly for submission.

• Any other duties as may be required from time to time.
