Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with a dynamic and growing business based in Leeds. Our client is a leading player in their industry, committed to innovation and excellence. The organisation is currently seeking a talented and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join its finance team.

As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department in various accounting tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong foundation in accounting principles and a desire to contribute to the success of a thriving organisation.

Your responsibilities will include:
    Raising charges and processing cash receipts for payments where applicable.
    Working on accounts payable.
    Production of weekly and ad hoc reporting.
    Carrying out overhead analysis.
    Performing bank reconciliations.
    Maintaining control account reconciliation.
    Raising sales invoices.
    Processing VAT returns.
    Preparing management accounts.
    Providing financial analysis.
    Producing various reports.

To be considered for the position of Assistant Accountant, you will require:
    AAT level 3 qualified or part-qualified (e.g., ACCA, CIMA).
    Previous experience in similar role.
    Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
