There is an exciting opportunity to join the Hospice of the Good Shepherd as Assistant Accountant.

This role is to support our Head of Finance due to growth in our trading activities and services, to provide support the finance team with the particular focus being the production of high-quality financial information meeting financial deadlines and supporting the wider organisation.

You will support a small finance team, and need to have previous experience working in a finance department, you will be dealing with high volume transactions and will require attention to detail. An understanding of charity accounting is preferable however not essential.

To be successful in this role you will also need to be resourceful, resilient and have a positive attitude to your work. This role will require you to manage a diverse brief, therefore your ability to manage your time effectively will be key to meeting financial deadlines.

An AAT Qualification or QBE is essential for this post along with experience of producing management accounts to strict deadlines.
