About the role

Asset Protection Field Manager

Permanent full time contract, 5/7 days Sunday - Saturday contract (Must be available to work weekends)

£55,000 - £60,000 per annum + Car + Bonus + Pension + BUPA + ShareSave + 6.6 weeks holiday

National role- travel required across UK up to 4 days a week.

Key responsibilities

To lead the Asset Protection Field team and partner with Regional Managers and Divisional Directors to Coach, Influence, and Implement B&Q’s asset protection strategy, ensuring its effectiveness to deliver the businesses stock loss targets, procedural compliance and store safety standards.

  • Lead a team of Asset protection partners who are responsible for implementing the B&Q stock loss strategy, improving process compliance and store safety standards by working in partnership with Regional Managers to develop ways of working to ensure effective communication and buy-in across all stakeholders
  • Use data and insights to identify trends and causes of loss across the business and respond to critical store or regional opportunities
  • Ensure that controls and measures in the plan are adequate to prevent risks to stock loss,
  • Responsible for holding high risk store reviews
  • Enables compliance to Health and safety, Legal and Store process, and procedures within the retail function
  • Enable the clear focus on stock management routines and digital processes in line with the business growth areas
  • Provide operational guidance and coaching for our new store estate through the field team
  • Take ownership of all Retail CRM related workstreams ensuring we have systems and processes in place
  • Provide regular updates to the retail Leadership on Asset protection strategy, implementation, and results
  • Identifies opportunities through the team to design out loss and work in collaboration with the Transformation team to create future simplified solutions
  • Keeps up to date with industry trends and the potential impact on the business, using this information to recommend and implement changes to the way the business operates
  • Lead the team to deliver the asset protection plan, driving high performance and engagement and role modelling the B&Q values
  • Provider of expert coaching and talent development reviews for all asset team members.
  • Undertake other duties from time to time as may be reasonably required

Required skills & experience

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Ability to lead, develop and coach teams to drive high performance
  • Ability to communicate and influence across a range of stakeholders
  • Previous experience within Asset/Loss prevention at a leadership level
  • Knowledge of the security industry and how it impacts asset/loss prevention
  • Experience of implementing asset protection strategies
  • Previous experience of working in retail and understanding of end-to-end asset/loss prevention processes and procedures
  • Keeps up to date on industry trends and the potential impact on the business

Essential Technical / Professional Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in leading Asset Protection teams
