Division info:

The Landing Gear Market specializes in the design, qualification, manufacture and repair and overhaul of landing gears and flight critical components to a customer base that extends from the OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to the Operators in both the commercial and military markets.

Summary of position:

The role requires a person with a proactive “can-do” attitude mixed with personal drive and motivation. Good communication & people skills are essential.

Main responsibilities:

As an Assembly Technician, you’ll be responsible for building and stripping a variety of simple and complex hydraulic units, and conducting efficient inspections and fault-finding investigations.

Qualifications:

Essential:
  • Ability to interpret machining drawings and operation sheets.
  • Ability to work effectively unsupervised using own initiative and as part
  • Excellent fault-finding skills.

Desirable:
  • Proven experience of building, testing, and stripping both simple and complex hydraulic units.
  • Proven experience of building, testing and stripping both simple and complex actuation systems.
  • Proven experience of measurement equipment (Vernier’s, micrometres, borematic’s etc.).
  • Proven experience of working within a quality / regulatory controlled environment (ISO 9001 / ISO14001 etc.)
  • Mechanical Engineering background
