About the role

We are looking to appoint a Variable Hours Art Technician, to join our Arts & Community Learning. Based in the Art School at the Parkshot site in Richmond, this post will assist the Arts Technical Support Manager as part of the expressive arts technical support team, including shop and materials sales activities.

The individual will have experience and knowledge of specialist technical and maintenance support for curriculum delivery. A specialism in woodwork within an educational environment is desirable.

The visual art department, known as the Richmond Art School, has contemporary, purpose-built art and design facilities, and provides a wide range of qualification and non-accredited courses from beginner to advanced level.

Reporting to the Arts Technical Support Manager, you will actively organise a high-quality, responsive service which enables learners to explore the arts and meet their life and work goals.

Duties will be carried out with due regard for Health and Safety, COSHH and Risk Assessment policies and procedures.

About you

You will have experience of providing good customer service and technical support in a similar setting in one or more specialist arts areas. You will be able to work as part of, and contribute to, a successful team.

You should have a minimum Level 2 in both English and Mathematics.

To commence September 2021 or as soon as possible.
