Have you worked in the lighting industry. If so, our client, an emergency lighting supplier, is looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to cover the Midlands region of the UK. Reporting to the Country Director, the role will involve developing the business by driving new business and increasing sales of company products. This is a fantastic opportunity that offers career progression and development.
  • Working towards annual sales target and KPIs set by the individual and the management team.
  • Identifying potential customers and increasing sales turnover with push/pull sales philosophy.
  • Building and developing relationships with customers; this includes meeting customers at their premises throughout your region in the UK.
  • Preparing and issuing lighting calculations and schemes using the necessary software.
  • Assisting with customer queries, including technical questions, as needed.
  • Maintaining and updating project databases on company CRM and ensuring that the data is up to date so that accurate marketing campaigns can be carried out.
  • Preparing and issuing quotations, as needed, using relevant quotes software.
  • Ensuring effective negotiations are held with our customers to obtain high selling prices with maximum profits.
  • Gaining knowledge of customer requirements and feeding this information back to the business to ensure KPIs are achieved.
  • Attending exhibitions and trade events to showcase the companys products and services.
Area Sales ManagerThe Area Sales Manager will require the following essential skills/experience.
  • Previous experience working in the lighting industry.
  • Ability to compile technical drawings during visits to customer sites.
  • Experience of building and developing a strong customer base.
