You will work as part of a strong, supportive team to create, review, and apply solutions based on our long-term strategy, while guiding the organization towards a strategic target state.

As a leader in the GTI Architecture team, your quest for innovation happens directly at the intersection of technology and business strategy, leading organizational, operational, and technological change, now and in the future.

You’ll lead and drive the efforts of passionate and dedicated teams of cross-functional, cross-product and cross-line-of-business architects and other stakeholders, to maintain an appropriate technology development lifecycle process for use by all engaged in the practice of architecture in the department. The scope of this process shall include components, applications and products and due to the federated nature of these processes you will need to work both at the Global Technology, firmwide level, and at the internal Global Technology Infrastructure technology groups. You will own or collaborate with process owners to optimize the processes and procedures to implement an effective lifecycle for these architecture assets and to make sure they are appropriately communicated to all users and stakeholders. This will include partnering with colleagues to collate and run appropriate training, and keeping abreast of internal and external controls and regulatory requirements related to architecture governance, prioritizing them and incorporating them into existing process and tools.

At all times you will support and promote the adoption of our technical strategy, collaborating with internal teams and business leaders alike. You’ll be part of the architecture dialogue to innovate, in collaboration with technologists across JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s global technology community, as well as in partnership with some of the most important technology firms in the world.

This role will: host and steer the internal "Permit To" working group and own the relationship with all our application owners, own our data quality in the firmwide repositories of architecture metadata, represent our requirements as users of firmwide repositories of architecture metadata, report on and streamline all applicable processes, ensure that appropriate portfolio and lifecycle management is done at different levels for our product, applications and components.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in process management including optimization
  • Experience in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Knowledge of architecture, design, and business processes
  • Understanding of industry-wide technology strategies and best practices
  • Experience in leading collaborative teams to achieve common goals
  • Experience in risk and governance management
  • Knowledge of architecture governance frameworks like The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) or other similar frameworks.
