Job Title: Apprentice Service Maintenance Engineer

Pay Rate: £6.65

Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 08.00 to 16.30 - 40 hours per week

Location: Glasgow/Edinburgh

Atalian Servest is currently recruiting for an Apprentice Service Maintenance Engineer to join our passionate and driven team in Glasgow/Edinburgh!

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in the maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Work within preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Carry out repairs to property, fixtures, fittings and equipment.
  • Interaction with contractors on the London Imperial War Museum sites.
  • Assist with plant maintenance as and when required.
  • Attended college within the London region and you will be assessed by the JTL apprentice board.


About You:

  • A positive and can-do attitude.
  • Eager to learn and advance your skills and knowledge.
  • Proactive involvement in existing and new installations.
  • Professional conduct when dealing with colleagues, visitors and contractors.
  • Assisting with Facility Spares control for all critical equipment.
  • Ensure that your activities comply with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Willingness to deal with internal issues for example blocked drains, toilets, minor spillages etc.
  • Follow set PPM procedures.
  • Required to be flexible with work hours to rectify breakdowns as priorities and demands.
  • Willingness to attend training to attain relevant qualifications.
  • Must be PC literate and able to use MS packages.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of facility maintenance requirements.
  • Demonstrate practical abilities.
  • Good numeric and literacy skills.
  • 5 GCSE’s Grade 5 or above is desirable.
