About the role

Preparing and posting monthly accrual journals

Preparing and posting monthly prepayment journals

Running monthly reports in Excel

Analysing monthly fee income by category

Reconciliation of Debtors accounts

Supporting the budget setting process including setting up budget sheets and loading to the finance system

Updating Agency spend information on a weekly basis

Updating Agency and Occupancy information for the weekly Dashboard for the Senior Leadership Team

Supporting the wider Finance team

About you

Ideally the applicant will be educated to a degree level standard or qualified AAT. Alternatively they will have experience in Finance along with at least A Level or equivalent qualifications (Grade C or above), including Maths

Must be willing to work towards a Professional Accounting qualification such as CIMA or ACCA

Any existing degree or qualification that gives 9 or more exemptions from ACCA or CIMA would prevent this apprenticeship

Great interpersonal, communication and customer service skills

Experience in using Microsoft Excel or similar along with an aptitude for IT and knowledge of software packages such as general accounting software and Google GSuite

Strong numerical skills

Self-discipline and ability to self motivate and prioritise and meet deadlines

Good team working skills
