In line with our Global Strategy and Purpose, we have an exciting opportunity for an Agile Coach to join our Global Mid-Corp Transformation Programme, helping to shape and implement our future target operating model for our Commercial Mid-Corporate Business, whilst championing and driving agile ways of working.

Our ambition is to transform the End-to-End experience and journey for our policyholders, intermediaries, internal users and other parties, through a combination of modernising core systems, data-led digital asset development and integrations (internal and external). This opportunity will also involve close collaboration with international stakeholders, within Allianz Group as well as wider operating entities.

As an Agile Coach on the Transformation Programme you will be responsible for the design of the Agile delivery set-up, upskilling teams to work effectively & aligning UK delivery with the Agile ways of working adopted in the Global build.

You will coach delivery teams and work with Scrum Masters and Product Owners to improve business agility and achieve the benefits that come with Agile. We are in the early stages of this journey, giving you the opportunity to put your stamp on this role and make a genuine impact.

We are looking for an experienced Agile Coach who is an enthusiastic self-starter with a passion for all things Agile, a great communicator, with an insatiable appetite for helping people excel. You will be constantly looking for ways to improve our Agile teams and create an environment where everyone’s common goal is to deliver outstanding results while having fun.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Designing the Agile delivery set-up / structure
  • Coaching agile teams at varying levels of maturity (DevOps, Scrum and Kanban teams) to ensure they are using agile best practice and continually improving.
  • Teaching teams to maintain relevant metrics that guide them to continuously improve and provide management visibility on the status and delivery successes
  • Training sessions to support the teams and wider organisation’s engagement with the agile transformation
  • Leading ongoing development of the agile transformation roadmap and driving a stronger and deeper agile culture throughout the organisation
  • Collaborating with the wider Agile and Change communities to support agile maturity and resolving business challenges
  • Kick-starting new teams transforming to agile methods and ways of working

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience working in a comparative Agile role and/or demonstrable record of successful Agile delivery
  • Experience working with C-Suite
  • Ideally a certified Scrum Master, holding either a PSM or CSM (PSM preferred) and any other relevant Agile or Coaching qualification
  • Effective influencer with experience working with multiple stakeholders across all levels of the business i.e. able to influence the agile mind-set at a team and organisational level
  • Strong knowledge and experience of a wide range of agile development methods (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP, SAFe)
  • Strong knowledge of agile tools and software e.g. Jira, Confluence and Slack
  • Good understanding of agile practices (e.g. CI, TDD, Pairing etc) and able to facilitate, understand, and contribute to technical discussions.

The role can be based anywhere in the UK, however, there is a requirement to work from an office location at least 1x per month, and also a requirement to travel to other UK offices to attend meetings etc.
