Job DescriptionAdmin OfficerLocation: Peterborough, PE1 1QGHourly rate: £11.60Contract: Temporary 6 - month assignment, Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5pmYou must hold a passport and must have lived in the UK for longer than 5 years. This role requires a security clearance that we will process for you, if successful.Brook Street in partnership with the Home Office has a fantastic opportunity to join their existing team of Administration Officers in Peterborough. You will be providing appropriate support, working within the case working teams, managing basic administration tasks, answering emails, requesting information, and liaising with other departments and stakeholders.Why work with us?

Main Job Responsibilities
  • Managing a caseload, ensuring casework is progressed and managed efficiently
  • Delivering a quality service to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Responsible for compliance and quality assurance
  • Delivering against targets and providing excellent customer service
  • Delivering a professional service to Home Office standards and supporting colleagues
  • Having a flexible approach and being receptive to organisational change
Skills Needed
  • Competent in working in an administrative capacity (non-retail) (Graduates will be considered!)
  • Excellent communication of written and speaking English to enable telephone and email communication with customers along with customer-facing experience
  • Ability to organise a busy workload to deliver effective results on time and meet changing and complex demands as required
  • Ability to take a responsive and customer-focused approach to work and protect customer and colleague confidentiality
  • Excellent IT skills - Demonstrable experience in using Outlook, Excel, and Word in an office environment
  • Ability to deal calmly and professionally with customers on the telephone and ability to show empathy and support to customers
  • Strong work ethic and resilience
