How Do We Support Our Employees

Role Context
  • The role is for a 12-month secondment for a senior role in the Reinsurance & Bulks Team within FROISS, Actuarial M&A and Support
  • The candidate will be Experienced Colleague level and be a Qualified or Newly Qualified Actuary.
  • The team is responsible for the ongoing management of our suite of reinsurance treaties and bulk annuity contracts.
Experienced Colleague

Work Level Responsibilities:
  • Delivers and presents outputs that are clearly defined, using discretion over how to achieve them.
  • Accountable for providing a quality service to stakeholders, using skills/experience built through significant practical experience or training.
  • Has worked in environments which span across group functions and locations. Works within established frameworks and procedures, with the freedom to interpret them to solve a range of problems.
  • Makes suggestions for improvements to the work practices and produces of other teams, based on previous experience and knowledge of similar situations.
Bau

Role Responsibilities:
  • The team carries out several key contractual calculations needed to support our bulks and annuity longevity swap contacts. The individual will carry out a checker / reviewer role and present results to the Head of Actuarial Methodology & Assumptions, Capital Models and Support
  • Supervise delivery of key governance tasks
Projects
  • The individual will support key commercially important strategic projects impacting reinsurance and / bulk annuity contracts
  • The individual will be ideally placed position to influence direction of key M&G projects ensuring that propositions are operationally viable
  • operational requirements are understood and can be delivered
  • actuarial processes to deliver any required contractual tasks can be set up
  • Experience in reviewing complex treaties / contracts would be useful
