Job Description

The responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Manager are:

  • Supervising the purchase ledger team - 121/appraisals/setting objectives/KPI’s/training/hiring.
  • Overseeing the overall Purchase Ledger processes
  • Ledger reviews
  • P2P support
  • Capturing supplier/customer documentation to the finance system.
  • Coding invoices and credits to the correct Nominal accounts
  • Ensuring that the authorisation process is administered correctly.
  • Ensuring VAT has been processes correctly
  • Scheduling supplier BACS payments.
  • Assisting with Month End processing.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Accounts Payable Manager should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in a managerial role within the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with relevant accounting software.
  • Excellent strategic planning skills and able to interact at all levels.
  • Ability to work in Preston location.
