We are currently seeking applications for 2 Accounts Payable Finance Assistants within the Directorate for Financial Management based in Edinburgh. These are permanent and pensionable appointments and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. Candidates with a disability who meet the essential criteria below will be invited to the assessments.

The Invoice Processing Team is one of two within the Accounts Payable and Vendor Maintenance branch, one of 4 branches in Financial Services Division, Directorate for Financial Management, Corporate Directorate General. These posts form an integral part of the Ministerial drive to support sustainable economic growth and the commitment to pay suppliers promptly for the goods & services the SG receives.

The invoice processing team which the successful candidates will join, process around 55k payables invoices per year whilst complying with all audit requirements and maintaining the ministerial commitment to pay invoices within 10 days. Other duties, some of which are office based in Victoria Quay, will include responding to customer enquiries received into the payables mailbox and resolving queries withinternal andexternal stakeholders.

Qualifications/ Experience Required
For these jobs in Band A, you must have experience of using the Oracle Financials Accounts Payable ledger and have a working knowledge of PECOS.

Essential Criteria
1. Operational experience of payables invoice processing using Oracle Financials.
2. Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build good working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
3. You will demonstrate strong attention to detail be numerate and show flexibility.
4. Good administration and organisational skills and the ability, with support, to prioritise workload and proactively manage work to ensure deadlines are met.
