Job Description

The key responsibilities of the Business Development Manager based in Rochester:
  • Generate leads and make active contact with potential new clients.
  • Research and identify new business opportunities or new ways of reaching existing target clients.
  • Attend networking events.
  • Foster and develop relationships with a new portfolio of clients and advise on all aspects of their business to help them save tax, save time and create wealth.
  • Manage a small team and assist with their training and development.
  • Attend senior management meetings and report on the development progress of the new office, portfolio performance and actuals vs budgets for internal targets set.
  • Ensure that the systems, processes, and core values intrinsic in the office are aligned with those of the firm as a whole.
  • Always seeking new ways of improving the operational effectiveness of the business.
The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate for the Business Development Manager based in Rochester,
  • ACA/ACCA qualified with at least 5 years post qualification experience.
  • Drive to seek and win new business.
  • Energetic and ambitious.
  • Someone who is a self-motivator, who is resilient and prepared to grind it out.
  • Interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients and staff.
  • Team leadership experience.
  • Moderate to advanced Excel skills required.
  • A genuine interest in learning, not just in accountancy and tax but business in general.
