We are looking to recruit a Transport Operations Assistant to join the Transport Operations Team.
You will be required to provide support within the Transport Operations Team, ensuring service delivery is met.
You will be responsible for inputting, updating, and maintaining manual and computerised system, files, and records. You will also provide reception cover, assisting colleagues with their enquiries and checking that all scheduled staff have reported for work. It will also be necessary for you to provide cover for absent passenger attendants, accompanying children with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities in Home to School Transport (taxi or specialist vehicle)
We are seeking an individual who has IT and communications skills. The successful applicant will need to be able to work under pressure and work flexibly. Previous knowledge and/or experience of transporting passengers with special educational needs is preferred, but not essential.
The role requires a rota’s shift to be worked between 06.45-17.45 with the ability to be flexible

Applicants to posts that are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act will require a DBS from the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed.
