Here at Kew Green Hotels, we are looking for a Talent Development Manager to join our award-winning People team, where you will lead on all things learning and development across our 48 hotels.

We’ve had a pretty incredible (also busy and often challenging!) few years and we’re proud to say we’ve scooped 10-awards and had LOTS of fun along the way. The past year has seen us shift our focus to online learning and now is the time for us re-energise and broaden our learning strategy again for our new Kew normal.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to move up in their career. You may be looking for your first management role or to broaden your experience with a major hotel owner and operator who is expanding its business in both the UK and internationally.

This is a high-profile role that will see you working closely with our Group People & OD Director, your colleagues in the People Team and our senior leadership team to influence and execute our talent development strategy. You will be overseeing a small team and working in partnership with our Talent Resourcing Manager to map out our future resource and talent capabilities.

Is the Talent Development Manager role right for me?
  • A ton of experience in the Learning and Development space, including both planning and implementation of a range of learning activities
  • Experience in a hotel/hospitality/leisure environment would be beneficial but not essential
  • Experience in identifying current workforce needs, forecasting future demands and implementing relevant strategies to develop and retain talent
  • Experience of leading and motivating a team of learning facilitators would be great, but we’d still love to hear from you if you’ve got natural leadership capabilities.
  • You’ll be able to create the strategy for, design and implement learning interventions, identifying the right third-party training delivery experts to ensure our success
  • You’ll also be comfortable with crunching numbers to ensure through comprehensive data analysis our learning and development initiatives are aligned with our business objectives and always deliver meaningful outcomes
  • You’ll be a strong communicator and influencer, who is able to inspire and lead changes in direction where necessary and focus on the ROI of learning activity
  • You’ll have experience in producing digital learning material to support our blended-learning approach
  • Experience coordinating Early Careers and outreach programmes, including apprenticeships, with third-party suppliers
  • Highly passionate about your specialism and your own learning and keen to progress your career with a growing organisation
  • CIPD Level 5 or similar L&D qualification preferred.
