Our current highly talented and dedicated Learning Mentor is retiring at Easter. We are looking for a successor to build on the excellent support and relationships that she has developed with our pupils and their families at our Academy. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work as part of a highly dedicated and enthusiastic team, who strive to do the best for all our pupils. We have a very positive ethos, where excellence and enjoyment within learning are highly promoted throughout our curriculum and wider offer.


Our Learning Mentor will be approachable, friendly and proactive in supporting a range of pupils with their emotional, behavioural and learning development to overcome barriers that affect their academic progress. Our learning mentor supports pupils in both small groups, on a 1 to 1 basis and taking Jigsaw PSHE sessions with some of our classes.


The successful candidate will engage closely with parents and carers to enable them to support their children’s development through formal and informal meetings, using the Early Help process and assisting the DSL with the safeguarding duties of the school.
