We are now recruiting for the position of Precast Concrete Operative, based at our Brigg factory in the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, growing team of experts in the field and build on your career.

About The Role

As the Precast Concrete Operative, reporting to the Precast Concrete Foreman, you will be working within a team of operatives with the following key responsibilities:
  • Pour concrete into moulds ensuring suitable compaction
  • Finishing of concrete surfaces as directed (Tamping, floating etc.)
  • Complete tasks assigned in an efficient manner
  • Maintain clean work area
  • Always use personal protective equipment and adhere to Health & Safety regulations at all times
  • Operate machinery or equipment as trained and instructed
  • Work closely with the lead operator and become knowledgeable of the production responsibilities that you assist with
  • May be required to operate equipment such as hoppers, power washers, forklift, hydraulic equipment, welders, among others and internal training/qualification is required for these tasks
  • Operate a variety of hand tools
  • Maintain all tools and equipment and store them properly after use
  • Support other work areas as directed.

Required Experience
  • Precast experience preferred
  • Self-motivated, problem solver
  • Ability to read technical drawings desirable
  • Experience in and ability to use hand tools
  • Strong team player skills
