This role is field based, with designated space working from our Halifax office as above, but there is also the expectation that you work from home as appropriate for the majority of time when you are not out and about on your patch.

The position is working 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday. This will need to be flexible to fit with the needs of our customers. There will be some evening and occasional weekend working also.

We have an exciting new opportunity for someone to join our Neighbourhoods Management team on a permanent contract, to assist the existing team.

The roles primary focus is going to be split between making sure people have safe houses to move into and managing tenancies, as well as helping to assess applicants on the housing register & waiting list.

Another part of the role will be to actively promote and be invested in working with other teams in the regeneration of various schemes / estates to promote sustainability within all of our communities.

Past experience of monitoring vacant stock levels across various areas would be an advantage, as you will have to be responsible for ensuring any vacant properties are re-let with a minimum delay. You will need to liaise with the Empty Homes team as well as the inspection teams, and make sure all management policies are followed to keep all of our properties to a consistently high level.

What will you actually be doing in this job?
  • Work within a team, to assist everyone in the attainment of targets, and in achieving performance objectives and KPIs
  • You will be responsible for the allocation and letting of dwellings in accordance with current policies & procedures
  • To provide advice and assistance to tenants and residents on all housing matters to help them successfully maintain their tenancy. This includes giving information on legal rights e.g. succession and assignment.
  • To provide housing management services on the estate including the enforcement of the Association’s conditions of tenancy, particularly in relation to the condition of property and/or garden.

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Role
  • Experience of working with customers dealing with a broad range of housing management duties
  • Experience of involving and engaging customers and stakeholders
  • The ability to interpret and apply different procedures
  • An ability to manage confidential and personal information appropriately and sensitively
  • Knowledge and understanding of current housing, welfare & neighbourhood management issues

Due to the nature of the role, you will require a full and current driving license, along with access to a vehicle insured for business use
