Join us as a Manufacturing Manager within our Supply Chain team and you’ll help us succeed by effectively managing, developing and continuously improving the manufacturing operations across our 2 sites based in Halifax and Morley.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll make sure health and safety of all colleagues is assured through compliance to legislation, regulations and company policies and procedures, and that all associated assessments are updated and maintained to the highest standards. You’ll align production resource and associated skills to the forecast supply plan and be responsible for OTIF compliance of manufactured product, at or above target levels, as well as vendor rating / management of raw material suppliers in terms of OTIF, H&S and Quality of load; working closely with the Procurement/Purchasing and Quality team to always ensure adherence.

You’ll lead and foster a continuous improvement culture through the application of Lean principles, tools & techniques and also have a proactive approach to quality; driving down process scrap, with a root cause analysis method. You’ll prepare and control the operating budget in line with the latest volumes and make sure raw materials and finished good inventory levels are controlled, stock turns measured and optimised.

How you will qualify for the role

With the ability to lead and inspire colleagues at all levels, you’ll have proven experience in relevant manufacturing operational positions and excellent leadership and communication skills.

You’ll have the ability to be a strong transformational role model, self-motivated, driven, and a lateral thinker with good problem solving and decision-making abilities; supported by a comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing and the wider supply chain.

Excellent operational management skills backed by a degree of business acumen are essential, and you should be able to show evidence of successful achievement of budgets in a demanding business environment.
