We are seeking a proactive, highly motivated and knowledgeable Maintenance Services Manager to join our award winning Estates & Campus Services department, supporting the Director of Estates & Campus Services with delivery of the University’s Estates Strategy and departmental objectives. The post holder will have operational responsibility for Maintenance Services, and will provide management and leadership for this diverse team, delivering exemplary planned and reactive maintenance, and external services whilst ensuring the estate complies with built environment, safety and environmental legislation and best practice.

The post is full time, 37 hours per week with opportunity to work in a blended working model, mixing on and off-site working if desired. Excellent training and development opportunities are also available alongside a number of additional employee benefits.

About you

You will have an established track record of developing maintenance strategies for a complex estate alongside experience of managing and leading a diverse team with complex budgeting and financial management requirements. You must also posses exemplary communication and motivation skills with a desire to deliver a first class customer experience. Evidence of effective team leadership in a estates management or similar context is required, along with a sound understanding of higher education and areas that estates professionals can add value.

Qualifications

Essential:

Degree or formal professional qualification
Evidence of continuing professional development
IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent
Desirable:

Appropriate membership of professional body as recognised and required for the post
NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
