Lead Business Analyst

Halifax / Reading / West Malling, UK

£55,000 - £65,000

As the Lead Business Analyst you will be a practitioner within your own team or squad, but also oversee the resourcing, line management, development and performance of a wider team of analysts, building a strong sense of community and driving the development of best practice in all aspects of the role.

The Role

  • Developing the Analysis chapter, gaining buy in from other chapter leads and the other Business Analysts
  • ‘Hands on’ analysis in a team or squad
  • Leading and cultivating Business Analysts, ensuring clear objectives and career development
  • Resolving senior escalations about BA performance in their chapter
  • Managing the recruitment and resourcing of Business Analysts
  • Developing a vision for the BA Chapter and creating a strategy that will help us achieve our aims
  • Working with your peers to define best practice for Business Analysis

Skills & Experience

  • A broad and deep analysis toolkit
  • Lots of ideas about how to improve the BA chapter offering – especially regarding agile ways of working and meeting the needs of our Engineering teams
  • Previous leadership experience in a technology function
  • Previous line management experience
  • Strong experience of budget management (licences, people, technology)
  • Curious, analytical, critical mind-set; a problem solver with a very logical mind
  • A great communicator: able to tackle complexity and ambiguity head-on, help others make sense of the world - and able to make decisions
  • Engaging, collaborative way of working; holds their own in meetings and workshops, guiding and influencing stakeholders

The Offer

  • £55,000 - £65,000 per annum
