JSS are proud to be partnering with a FTSE listed business based in Northampton to recruit a Finance Manager on a fixed term contract basis for 9 months. This is a great opportunity to work alongside Board level staff within the business on a weekly basis. The purpose of this role is to support the business whilst they are going through unprecedented growth. It is highly likely that there will be a permanent opportunity at the end of the 12 months as well.

The role:

  • Leading month end reporting, presenting to senior board members
  • Managing a team of qualified and part qualified accounting staff
  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure that funds are reviewed and paid in a timely manner
  • Ownership of balance sheet, ensuring balances are up to date and orderly
  • Business partnering with various head of departments
  • Recommend benchmarks to measure the performance of company operations
  • Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics
  • Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts
  • Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management

The person:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
  • Available to start a new role
  • Strong user of excel (Pivot Tables, V look ups, Sum ifs)
  • Proven experience with managing a team
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty
  • Strong analytical and presentational skills
  • Proactive attitude & self-starter

On offer:

  • £75,000 - £85,000
