Starting salary £32000 basic (with post probation pay rise) + business use expensed company van.
In addition to the basic, other Engineers achieve lots of overtime and call out pay, average is +£6000 overtime per annum and £1000 in on call.

There is an optional 1 in 9 Weekend On Call Rotation (£100 per day On Call + paid hours at x1.5 if called).

Working hours to support projects are flexible, any 40 hours per week within the core hours of 0600 - 1900 Mon - Friday. All additional hours over 40 hours per week, or hours required outside of the core are paid at x1.5.

We are looking for either an experienced Data Cabler / Network Infrastructure Installations Engineer, or, an EPOS Field Service Engineer, to undertake work in QSR environments (Quick Service Restaurants).

Ideally the applicants should live around Northampton, to cover response times to service calls (anywhere NN / MK Postcode area).
Must be flexible to travel to do installations projects, including occasionally doing over nights stays for new store openings and installation projects.

The client specialises in new store opening projects, and servicing and maintaining QSR environments IT and EPOS equipment. Any previous retail / shop IT Infrastructure installations / support experience would be highly desirable.

Full training on the installation and support of their equipment will be offered to suitably skilled Field Engineers. Looking for previous Data Cabling and / or EPOS skills.

The work includes 1st fix - pulling in the data cables, 2nd fix - termination and networking, EPOS / AV / IT equipment installations and set up, including testing and go-live day support, and then on-going responsibility for any service maintenance calls.

This a very physical role with ladder work, drilling, mounting screens etc. (Engineers will be required to gain CSCS cards and various H&S tickets). Engineers with valid ECS or CSCS site safety cards already preferred.

Standard hours are Mon - Friday, flexible depending on work (projects often start early), 40 hours per week.

This is a Full-time permanent position with paid holiday, pension, expensed company van, fuel, tools etc.
