Graduate Engineer, Salary upto 28,000, Permanent position,Working hours are 7:45am - 16:30pm Monday to Thursday, 7:45am - 15:30pm Friday.This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent Graduate Engineer who is looking to start their Engineering career with a Company who will train and develop you in different area’s of the CompanyYou will need to be highly motivated, with a background in mechanical engineering to join their assembly & fitting team.The successful candidate will work within their workshop and yard facility in Southport, providing support to their client base across the world.You will play a crucial role in the production and manufacturing processes, utilizing your HNC qualification or a minimum of 1 year of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.You will have a strong ability to work on the tools, comprehend engineering drawings, and assemble components using hand tools.Responsibilities
  • Understand and interpret engineering drawings, ensuring accurate assembly of components according to specifications.
  • Provide 1st line Engineering support to: Quality, Manufacturing & Assembly
  • Utilize hand tools effectively to assemble and construct various mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and senior production team members to ensure smooth production and manufacturing processes.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of manufacturing techniques and procedures.
  • Conduct quality checks on completed products to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to health and safety guidelines.
  • Actively participate in training programs to enhance technical knowledge and skills.
  • Provide regular progress reports to the senior engineering team.
  • Conduct time and motion studies to improve production efficiency
Requirements
  • Minimum of an HNC qualification in Engineering or a related field, or a minimum of 1 year of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in working with hand tools and the ability to construct and assemble mechanical systems accurately.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and the ability to interpret them effectively.
  • Experience working with CAD software or similar.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Proactive and self-motivated approach to work, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to health and safety guidelines.
