Northampton – Hybrid (2 days a week in office)

£80k - £85k

I am working exclusively with a highly successful private equity backed manufacturing business who are looking for a FP&A Manager to join their finance team. You will be working closely alongside the CFO to support him with post deal professionalising and international expansion. You will take ownership of setting up the FP&A function from scratch and work closely with the sales and NPD teams to deliver insights and facilitate this high growth trajectory.

With a strong growth path through an aggressive M&A programme, targeting acquisitions in Europe they are looking to take EBITDA from £7m to £25m in 3 years. This is a unique opportunity to join at the start of this project, gain experience of a full PE deal cycle, and implement a new aspect of the finance function that didn’t exist previously.

The Role:

  • Understand / report profitability by key sku’s and customers
  • Support sales on customer terms renewals
  • Support NPD team to cost & price all new products
  • Monthly reports to track
  • Average selling prices by category
  • Customer performance
  • Product performance
  • Stock levels
  • 5 year modelling andYear-end guidance
  • Deliver full year budget to agreed timetables.
  • Prepare detailed forecasts mid-year
  • Maintain rolling forecasts to guide the business for the next 12 months
  • Key support in M&A programme & on-boarding new acquisitions.
  • Lead for investment appraisals (capital spend and promotional spend), preparation of the business case and also the post investment appraisal.
  • Support to the Ops Director on key projects needing financial support (new warehousing etc)

About you :

  • Qualified Accountant – ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
  • Experience of FP&A environment (minimum 2 years’ experience within FP&A)
  • Experience of European groups / consolidations.
  • Experience of PE (or ambition to work within PE environment)
