This is a great role for a organised, accurate and skilled finance professional. This criteria for this role is lots and lots of experience! You need to have tonnes of exposure to the ledgers...... sales, purchase and nominal!

This role will see you walking the line that connects financial and management accounting..... if you are looking to get more exposure to the general ledger and associated duties such as journals, prepayments and accruals, this role could be the one for you.

Duties will include the following;

  • Daily analysis of the nominal ledger bank account and the bank statement
  • Overseeing & accounting for employee expenses & Petty Cash
  • Balancing company credit cards
  • Maintaining and reconciling multiple balance sheet schedules
  • Managing and maintaining fixed asset register
  • Prepayments & control accounts
  • Multiple bank reconciliations
  • Maintaining the purchase ledger
  • Liaising with supplies.

This is a close knit and supportive team; everyone goes above and beyond to help out across the team and there are times when your role will step outside of the regular parameters of accountancy and finance; hopefully you will find this engaging and an interesting distraction! A sense of confidence around systems and IT applications would be invaluable in this role as you will be supporting other office team members with the finance system (SAGE) and related applications. Prior experience with SAGE would be very valuable!

This role isn’t dependent on qualifications, but you must have robust experience in a finance role; this is not an entry level position!
